Fight Against Organised Crime – Seizure of 121.40 Kilograms of Cocaine
As part of the fight against multifaceted organised crime and in continuation of efforts to curb drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of the National Gendarmerie and Algerian Customs apprehended a drug trafficker on Tuesday, 25 March 2025, during a high-quality operation carried out on National Road No. 1, linking Ghardaïa to Laghouat in the 4th Military Region. A total of 121.40 kilograms of cocaine, transported in his vehicle, was seized.
On the same day, in the 3rd Military Region, Border Guard detachments arrested four (4) Moroccan nationals and seized 106 kilograms of processed cannabis, which the suspects were attempting to smuggle into the national territory through our western borders. The individuals in question are named Rachid Saïk el-Ghazal, Yahia Kadouri, Abdelkrim Benazzi, and Kasmi Dahmane.
These high-quality operations once again confirm the great vigilance and unwavering determination of the ANP forces deployed along the national borders to combat organised crime and safeguard the stability and security of the country.
