First day of Medical-Surgical Conference of the Army’s Mother and Child Hospital in the 1st Military Region
Major General Mohamed El Bachir SOUID, Central Director of Military Health Services at the Ministry of National Defense, presided today, Sunday 23rd November 2025, at the Army’s National Circle in Béni Messous, 1st Military Region over the opening of the first medical-surgical conference works of the Army’s Mother and Child Hospital in the 1st Military Region, in the presence of military doctors and professors from various establishments and structures of the Military Health Services, alongside with civilian doctors and professors from various national hospitals and foreign doctors.
In his opening address, Major General Mohamed El Bachir SOUID, Central Director of Military Health Services, stated that the mission of the military health services extends beyond purely medical care, emphasizing that it encompasses operational readiness, the protection of citizens in the event of crises and disasters, continuing education, and scientific research. The Military Health Services also contribute to strengthening the national healthcare system, particularly through the Army’s Mother and Child Hospital, which provides high-quality medical care to the personnel of People's National Army and their families.
For his part, the General Director of the Army’s Mother and Child Hospital affirmed that the organization of this medical-surgical meeting brings together a wide range of medical specialties and a wealth of scientific programs. This is achieved through numerous conferences and presentations, offering participants the opportunity to learn about the latest scientific and technical advancements and to share their field experiences.
This scientific event also provides an opportunity for the exchange of expertise and experience, and for consolidating practical knowledge in medical and surgical fields, thereby improving therapeutic methods and patient care.
