Second day of the official visit of General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, to the Republic of Korea
Within the framework of the International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition "ADEX-2025" activities in the Republic of Korea, General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, continued his visit, on the second day of this trade fair with his accompanying delegation, where he participated to the event official opening ceremony.
The General Said CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, with the accompanying delegation, attended the official opening ceremony of the International Aerospace and Defence Exhibition "ADEX-2025" on Monday morning, 20th October 2025, chaired by Mr. Lee Jae Myung, President of the Republic of Korea.
In his opening speech, the President of the Republic of Korea welcomed the participating delegations, expressing the hope that this exhibition would meet the participants’ expectations.
Subsequently, the General, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, was received at the International Exhibition Centre “KINTEX” by General Jin Young-Seung, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea.
This meeting, attended by members of the Algerian military delegation and its Korean counterpart, was devoted to assessing the state of bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and the Republic of Korea and examining various ways and means to develop this cooperation, in accordance with the stated wishes of the leaders of both countries.
During this meeting, the General delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome granted to him and to the accompanying delegation, and for the invitation extended to him to participate in this important event. He also congratulated the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea on his recent appointment to this position, wishing him every success in carrying out his missions:
"I take this opportunity to express my sincere congratulations on your appointment as Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, wishing you every success in your noble missions.
While reaffirming our commitment to raising the level of military cooperation between our respective armies, I wish to the ADEX-2025 International Exhibition every success and that it achieves the objectives envisioned by its organization.
Our participation in this exhibition, which is a truly global event dedicated to the latest technological innovations in the field of defence, will undoubtedly contribute to strengthening ways of bilateral cooperation through the exploration of technological and industrial capabilities and the study of means to strengthen our defence system and to develop our military capabilities."
For his part, General Jin Young Seung, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Republic of Korea, expressed his pleasure in welcoming General Said CHANEGRIHA and the accompanying delegation, praising the willingness of both parties to lay the foundations for promising military cooperation, in keeping with the strategic partnership between the two countries, by opening up prospects for broader cooperation in the future.
At the end of this meeting, the two parties exchanged symbolic gifts.
