Operational Report of PNA from 1st to the 7th October 2025
Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out several operations between 1st and 7th October 2025, resulting in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the country:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of People's National Army units, the terrorist named Mohamed Talbi, alias "Khoubeib," surrendered to the military authorities in Bordj Badji Mokhtar, 6th Military Region, in possession of one semi-automatic repeating rifle, a quantity of ammunition, and other items. The said terrorist had joined terrorist groups operating outside the country in 2017.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and continuing efforts to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, intercepted 53 drug traffickers and thwarted smuggle attempts of 7 quintals and 86 kilograms of treated kif from the border with Morocco, while 2 kilograms of cocaine and 232,600 psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Djanet, In Guezzam, and Illizi, detachments of People's National Army arrested 209 individuals and seized 34 vehicles, 96 generators, 63 jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations.
Similarly, 19 other individuals were apprehended, and one Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, one automatic pistol, one semi-automatic rifle, 19 hunting rifles, 18,525 litres of fuel, as well as 80 quintals of tobacco and 5 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (102) individuals on board homemade boats, while (334) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
