Operational Report of PNA from 15th to the 21st October 2025
Within the framework of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, between 15th and 21st October 2025, several operations that resulted in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
Within the framework of the fight against terrorism, detachments of People's National Army under Tamanrasset Military Sector in the 6th Military Region dismantled a terrorist cell composed of seven (7) individuals and recovered two (2) Kalashnikov-type submachine guns, a quantity of ammunition, and other items.
In the same context, the terrorist named Hammou Salah Ahmed, alias "H'Maïdi", surrendered to the military authorities of Bordj Badji Mokhtar in the 6th Military Region, in his possession one (1) Kalashnikov-type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while other detachments of People's National Army arrested (7) elements of support for terrorist groups, in different operations across the national territory.
Within the framework of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the efforts made to counter drug trafficking scourge in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, intercepted (70) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (2) quintals and (98) kilograms of processed kif from the borders with Morocco, while one (1) kilogram of cocaine and (1,499,695) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, In Guezzam, Illizi, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 405 individuals and seized 42 vehicles, 345 generators, 289 jackhammers, 3 metal detectors, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures and equipment used in illegal gold mining operations. Similarly, 16 other individuals were apprehended, and 3 hunting rifles, 11,499 litres of fuel, 44 quintals of tobacco, and 13 tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (210) individuals on board homemade boats, while (344) illegal immigrants from different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
