Mr. President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, visits the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense

      Mr. President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, visited the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense today, Thursday, 9TH October, 2025, where he was welcomed by General Saïd Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.

      After the playing of the national anthem and the presentation of military honors by the various formations of National People's Army Forces, the President of the Republic greeted his guests, namely the Secretary General of the Ministry of National Defense, the Commanders of the Forces and the Republican Guard, the Chief of Staff at the Ministry of National Defense, the Acting Commander of the National Gendarmerie, the Commander of the 1st Military Region, the Comptroller General of the Army, as well as the Heads of Departments of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff of People's National Army.

  

  

      The President of the Republic then delivered an address to the officers and personnel of the People's National Army, which was broadcast via videoconference to all Force Commands, the six Military Regions, major units, and higher education institutions deployed throughout the country.

  

  

      The President of the Republic affirmed that People's National Army today constitutes a true higher education institution for patriotism and the defense of the integrity of the national territory. The President of the Republic also emphasized that the favorable investment climate prevailing today stems from security stability. In the same context, the President of the Republic recalled the essential role played by the People's National Army and the various security institutions in the fight against the scourge of narcotics, which aims to undermine the foundations of society and threaten its youth.

      In conclusion, and on the occasion of today's match between the national team and the French national team, the President of the Republic expressed his sincere wishes for success and qualification for the 2026 World Cup.


      Before this, the General, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, delivered a welcoming address to the President of the Republic, in which he expressed his gratitude for this important visit. The General emphasized that the strategic choices adopted by the President of the Republic in support of a model of national leadership based on an emerging economy, a powerful army, and a strong internal front, reflected a rational and far-sighted approach:

  


      "Experiences from history have shown that nations that rely on their own strengths and resources are best able to face external threats. This demonstrates that it is by working together that the people, leaders, and state institutions form the cornerstone for building national security and achieving systemic stability.

      In this sense, the strategic choices you have adopted, Mr. President, in support of a model of national leadership based on an emerging economy, a powerful army, and a strong internal front, reflect a rational and far-sighted approach capable of enabling our country to build its future by ensuring lasting national security, fostered by institutional cohesion and synergy of efforts, in light of a strategic vision centered on national competencies and the effectiveness of state structures, all in the service of the nation and its citizens".


      After signing the guestbook, Mr. President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, left the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense, where he was greeted by General, Saïd CHANEGRIHA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of People's National Army.
