Within the framework of military cooperation activities, General Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, received in audience, this Tuesday, 23rd September 2025, at People's National Army General Staff headquarters, the Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, Mr. Dimitry Shugaev.
During this meeting, which was attended by Major Generals and Brigadier Generals from People's National Army General Staff and the Ministry of National Defence, alongside members of the Russian delegation, the two parties discussed the state of military cooperation between the two countries and exchanged analyses and points of view on issues of common interest.
On this occasion, the General delivered a speech in which he welcomed the host delegation, emphasizing that recent mutual visits have helped to inject renewed momentum into the field of military cooperation:
"It is a pleasure for me to welcome you and the accompanying delegation to the National People's Army General Staff headquarters, on the occasion of this visit, which constitutes a further step in the process of consolidating the historical relations between our two countries in general and between our respective military institutions in particular.
Indeed, recent high-level visits have helped to inject renewed momentum into the field of military cooperation, thus broadening the prospects for bilateral partnerships".
The General also emphasized that Algeria wants to establish multiple and diverse partnerships with friendly countries and is working to develop networks of relationships based on the search for solutions through dialogue and the promotion of sustainable development imperatives:
"In this complex global geopolitical context and the unstable regional situation, Algeria, within the framework of the principles of its foreign policy, based on full respect for international law and the diligent search for peaceful solutions to conflicts, is working to develop multiple and diverse partnerships with friendly countries. It is also committed to developing networks of relationships that combine the search for solutions based on dialogue and the promotion of sustainable development imperatives, with a view to building a common future based on solidarity and respect for the sovereignty of States".
At the end of this meeting, the two parties exchanged symbolic gifts.
