Docking of the Russian Fleet Detachment of Black Sea and Baltic, consisting of the Submarine Novorossiysk and the Maritime Rescue Tug Lakov Grebelskii, at the Port of Algiers
As part of the Algerian-Russian bilateral military cooperation program, the Russian Fleet Detachment of Black Sea and Baltic, consisting of the Submarine Novorossiysk and the Maritime Rescue Tug Lakov Grebelskii, docked at the Port of Algiers on 14th September, 2025, for a visit until 18th September, 2025.
During this visit, the Head of Mission, accompanied by his delegation, paid a courtesy visit to the General, Commander of the Central Maritime Front/1st Marine Regiment at the headquarters of the Algiers Naval Base/1st Marine Regiment. Cultural and sporting activities will be organized for the benefit of the Detachment's crew.
This stopover will allow for the exchange of expertise and the strengthening of cooperation between the navies of the two countries.
