Operational Report of PNA from 27th August to the 09th September 2025
As part of the sustained efforts in the fight against terrorism and multifaceted organized crime, units and detachments of People's National Army carried out, between August 27th and September 9th , 2025, several operations that resulted in high-quality results that reflect the high professionalism, vigilance, and constant readiness of our Armed Forces throughout the national territory:
As part of the fight against terrorism and thanks to the efforts of the units of People's National Army, detachments of People's National Army eliminated two terrorists and recovered one FMPK submachine gun, one Kalashnikov submachine gun, one pair of binoculars, and other items.
In the same context, the terrorist named Ghenami Ahmed surrendered to the military authorities of Adrar in the 3rd Military Region, in his possession one (1) FMPK type submachine gun, one (1) Kalashnikov type submachine gun, a quantity of ammunition and other effects, while other detachments of the People's National Army arrested (9) elements supporting terrorist groups, in different operations across the national territory.
As part of the fight against organized crime and in continuation of the efforts made to counter the scourge of drug trafficking in our country, combined detachments of People's National Army, in coordination with the various security services, during operations carried out across the Military Regions, intercepted (71) drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to introduce (6) quintals and (8) kilograms of treated kif from the borders with Morocco, while (4.44) kilograms of cocaine and (1,415,657) psychotropic tablets were seized.
In Tamanrasset, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, In Salah, Tindouf, and Djanet, detachments of People's National Army arrested 632 individuals and seized 48 vehicles, 334 generators, 195 jackhammers, as well as quantities of raw gold and stone mixtures and equipment used in illicit gold mining operations. Similarly, 21 other individuals were apprehended, and one FMPK submachine gun, one Kalashnikov submachine gun, one automatic pistol, seven hunting rifles, 122,895 liters of fuel, as well as 50 quintals of tobacco, and five tons of foodstuffs intended for smuggling and speculation were seized during separate operations.
Furthermore, the Coast Guard thwarted illegal immigration attempts on the national coasts and rescued (229) individuals on board homemade boats, while (686) illegal immigrants of different nationalities were arrested across the national territory.
