The Centre of Engineering and Development in Mechanics and Electronics is a Public Industrial and Commercial Establishment of the People's National Army, under the Central Directorate of Materials.
1- Calibration laboratory:
The laboratory provides calibration services in several fields.
The technology efficiency, the rigour as well as the quality of the procedures and the high level of our laboratory techniques allow it to be a reliable and recognized partner, and offer solutions adapted to legal or production obstacles.

Calibration services include more than one hundred (100) measuring elements in nine (09) quantities: pressure, weight, mass and volume, electricity, length, frequency, temperature and humidity. Extensive fields and expertise allow the laboratory to be an essential partner in the aeronautics, petro-chemistry, automobile and expertise laboratories.
Accreditation in accordance with the international standard ISO 17025:2017
The calibration laboratory is accredited in pressure measurement in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC:17025 and thus meets the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
The laboratory has a wide range of calibration apparatus, including several standard reference apparatus and high precision measuring apparatus.
Laboratory specialists possess the required qualifications to perform all types of calibration equipment.

The laboratory is responsible for carrying out tests on products with a view to establishing their conformity with specified requirements. For this purpose, a set of high-performance and high-precision equipment has been set up.

A. Thermal analysis of materials:
1. Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC): to determine the following parameters according to ISO 11357 (1-7):

- Glass transition, melting and crystallisation temperatures;
- Crystallization rate by melting enthalpy measurement;
- Polymerization rate by reaction enthalpy measurement;
- Dynamic OIT (Oxidation Induction Time);
- Mass thermal capacity.
2. Thermo-gravimetric Analysis Apparatus / Mass Spectroscopy (ATG/MS): to determine the following parameters according to ISO 11358 (1-3):
- Polymer degradation temperatures;
- Decomposition kinetics under inert or oxidative atmosphere;
- Quantities of volatile substances, additives, polymers and fillers in a material.
3. Dynamic and Mechanical Analyser (DMA):
- Determine the elastic modulus, loss modulus and damping factor based on frequency and/or temperature;
- Determine the material glass transition temperature.

3. Test and control equipment: In addition to specific equipment, the laboratory has a set of instruments for determining the physico-chemical parameters of samples to be analysed (pH meter, conductivity meter, centrifuge, melting point meter, automatic viscometer, etc.).
