On the occasion of National Emigration Day coinciding with the 62
nd anniversary of October 17
th, 1961 massacres, and in implementation with the decision of the President of the Republic, the Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, to observe a minute of silence in tribute to the martyrs of the October 17
th, 1961 manifestations, the Naval Forces Command Headquarters Chahid “Souidani BOUJEMAA” in Zeralda, witnessed the observation of a minute of silence in tribute to our valiant martyrs murdered on that day, as a result of the savage repression which Algerians in France were subjected during these peaceful demonstrations.
This minute of silence, observed by all units and structures of the Naval Forces, is a part of the desire of the High Command of the People’s National Army to preserve the national memory and anchor the values of the Glorious November Revolution in the spirits of all personnel.
