Open days on the Air Forces organized at the Air Base of Laghouat/Chahid ZELLOUF Omar "Salim"/4th Military Region
The Air Base of Laghouat/Chahid ZELLOUF Omar "Salim"/4th M.R, opened its doors on January 25,26 and 27, 2024, for open days on the Air Force, which are part of the execution of the communication plan for the year 2023/2024, approved by the High Command of the National People's Army.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Mr. Air Commander of the 4th M.R, as representative of Mr. General Major Mahmoud LARABA, the Air Force Commander, in the presence of Mr. the Wali, civil and military authorities, reporters from national public and private media as well as the public.
The aim of these open days is to strengthen the links between our civil society and its army, on the one hand, and on the other, to allow the public to appreciate the substantial efforts made by the Air Force Command, in particular by in terms of training and qualification of personnel, acquisition of latest generation air vectors, modernization of aeronautical equipment, as well as in terms of development and scientific research, these efforts aim to restore to our nation an efficient air weapon able to respond to the various and numerous missions which are assigned with the required rigor and efficiency.
During the whole period of these open days, we noticed an influx of the public, composed mainly of families, middle school students , of high school student, of academics, to appreciate more closely the technological evolution which knew our weapon on the one hand, and on the other hand to give to our fellow-citizens an outline on a part of the materials and air equipment endowed in the National People's Army, where they received from the exhibitors all the necessary explanations on the various materials exhibited.
Also, these days were an opportunity to inform young students and high school students wishing to be enrolled in the ranks of the National People's Army and the Air Forces in particular, on the different specialties dispensed as well as on the methods of recruitment in our different training establishments.
