The Air Force Command organizes a seminar on the deployment of air transport means in the event of natural disasters
In accordance with the "5+5 defence" initiative action plan for 2023, signed by the defence ministers, the Air Force Command organizes a seminar on « the deployment of air transport means in the event of natural disasters », on the 22nd and 23rd of May 2023 at the People's National Army Garrison Club of Ain Naadja, First Military Region.
As part of this activity, which was attended by 12 participants from member countries of the "5+5 defence" initiative, the presentations and debates were related to the importance of air transport in the crises management caused by natural disasters, such as earthquake and flood inundation and fire, also on the different technical aspects and procedures needed for the planning and execution of the assigned missions in these type of operations.
In the light of the Algerian experience overview on the deployment of air transport assets in the event of natural disasters, the seminar has permitted a fruitful best practices exchange and points of view in order to achieve the interoperability between the initiative's members of the "5+5 defence".
