Role of Big Data in decision-making
During his intervention, the professor highlighted a great number of concepts, especially those related to the meaning of Big Data and its importance in taking the right decision and undertaking the strategic policies.
Large datasets (BIG DATA) is an important source of information and using it leads to righter decision in comparison with conventional methods.
He, then, addressed the characteristics of Big Data, its types and how it is processed.
At the end of his intervention, the professor tackled the challenges that the decision makers are facing, because it is difficult to process big data and the special skills it requires in order to take advantage from it in supporting the decisions and the strategies of the companies, he also stressed the necessity to master the volume of symbols and data to act reasonably in the future.
