The Training Center of the Territory Air Defence Forces -Chahid Abdelouahab DJEFFAL-
1- Presentation and missions:

The training of the private soldiers consists of making them suited, after a specialized training, to exert in the body of troop. For this reason, the Training center of the Territory Air Defence Forces Command was established with all the human and material means at its disposal to assure its correct functioning and to reach a good training level.



The Training Center is an establishment of training, which lays out to the contract Corporals and private soldiers (Djounouds), a basic training as well as specialized trainings in the Territory Air Defence arm.

The center ensures the specialized training of "the Territory Air Defence" in conformity to the instructions programs for:
  • The graduated trainee and acontract Djounouds (Private soldiers);
  • The graduated trainee and Djounouds (Private soldiers) of contingent.

2- Geographical Site:

The center is located at 06 km to the east of Sétif city,along the national road n°5, it extends on a surface of 36 Hectares. The center is equipped with the human and teaching ressources and infrastructures to assure an optimal training to students and their daily comforts.


3- Historical glimpse of The Training Center of the Territory Air Defence Forces -Chahid Abdelouahab DJEFFAL:

The Training center of the Territory Air Defence Forces Command "DJEFFAL Abdelouahab" "El-Hassi" Sétif was creates in accordance to the decree n° 113/2003/MDN/A2/S of May 06, 2003.

Before its creation , the training of the contract private soldiers and those of the Quota was carried out in Air defence schools (TADHS and TADPS) and in the level of the Regional Command of Defence.


4- Structural organization of the center:

To effectively carry out its missions of supervising the students and implementating the training, the center is equipped with an important human and material ressources, from which:
  • a high levelteaching personel;
  • a documentation center;
  • combat equipments...

The center is structured as:
  • department of administration;
  • department of training;
  • teaching structures (laboratory, courses rooms …).

5- Various training courses conducted by the Training center:

The Training center is in charge to exempt in addition to the basic reserve training, a specific training of the TAD arm in the following specialities:

- for the graduated Men of troops:
With a duration of six (06) months , the Training of the ranked Contractual students covers the following specialities:
  • Radio Operator;
  • Telex operator;
  • FH Operator;
  • Operating in Commutation;
  • Launch ramp man;
  • Technical Battery man;
  • 23 mm Pieces man;
  • Help Car Mecanic;
  • Marker Reader Operator;
  • Rifleman;
  • Manual Poursuite Operator;
  • Management agent.

At the end of training, a Military Improvement Certificate first degree (MIC1) is allotted to the trainee Contract Corporals.

- for the Private soldiers (Djounouds):
During five (05) months, the training of Contractuel Djoundi is devoted to the basic training and with only one speciality which is Inter-Arm. This training is sanctioned by a Practical Certificate.

- Physical and sporting activities:
The physical and sporting activities constitute an important part of the training program, many outdoors and indoors sporting complexes allow the student to practise the sport of his choice: Combat sports - Football – Basket-ball...
Local and regional meetings, tournaments and challenges interns and inter-schools are organized in a regular way.

- Cultural and leisure activities:
Students also have the possibility of practising free activities, at their relaxation and rest moments. The student can thus belong to one of the many clubs where he can devote himself to the practice of music, Chess, photography...

- Environment and daily life:
Important human and material potentialities are accessible to the student, to ensure his balance and his spiritual and moral physical blooming. Among these infrastructures, we quote:
  • A trainee Stipend;
  • Accommodation;
  • Restauration.

- Infrastructures sportives:
  • A multipurpose room;
  • A football field;
  • A handball field;
  • A volley-ball field;
  • A movie theatre;
  • A semi- olympic pool ;
  • An Obstacle course...
