The Territory Air Defence Staff School - Chahid Ahmed FERRACH -
1- Presentation and missions:

The Territory Air Defence Staff School is a military educational establishment concerning the Territory Air Defence Forces Command, which gives students training in the various specialities of the Territory Air Defence. The NCO category constitute the working ankle in the army by the many functions which it exerts with the direct contact with the troops and the responsibilities that it assumes.



2- Geographical site:

The Territory Air Defence Staff School is located at an altitude of 910 m, it is established at 1,5 km in the east of Berrouaghia city and 120 km in the south-west of Algiers the capital. Occupying a surface of 08 hectares at 2000m of perimeter. Equipped with teaching equipments of high technology, infrastructures of adequate lodging and relaxation, the school offers a favourable conditions for training.

3- Historical glimpse of The Territory Air Defence Staff School :

Established in Berrouaghia at the first Military Region, The Territory Air Defence Practice School was created by ministerial decision n° 86/85/EM.ANP/A2/S on October 29th, 1985, named by abbreviation "TADPS".

4- Structural organization of the school:

  • A high level teaching body ;
  • Specialized scientific training laboratories;
  • Workshops for common core teaching ;
  • A Documentation Centre.

The Territory Air Defence Staff School (T.A.D.S.S) is structured as:
  • Department of teaching;
  • Department of administrations;
  • Socio-cultural Structures (library, hearths…).

5- Training Courses assured by The Territory Air Defence Practice School :

To effectively conduct its missions of supervising students and training, the school dispose of an important human and material ressources, from which:
  • The training of the trainee NCOs in various specialities of the Territory Air Defence;
  • The training of the quota trainee NCOs ;
  • The organization of recycling and improvment courses for the contract.

The Territory Air Defence Practice School ensures during two years, the following specialities:
  • Air Monitoring Operator;
  • Ground to Air Missiles;
  • Detection;
  • Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA);
  • Transmissions;
  • Energy and Environment.

At the end of training, the trainee NCOs of the Territory Air Defence Forces Command (T.A.D.F.C) are subjected to the presentation of oath, in a graduation ceremony.

    - Physical and sports activities:

    The physical and sports activities constitute an important part of the training program, many outdoors and indoors sport complexes allow the student to practise the sport of his choice: combat sports - Football – Basket-ball … Local and regional meetings, tournaments and challenges interns and inter-schools are organized in a regular way.

    - Cultural and leisure activities:

    Trainees also have the possibility of practising free activities, at their relaxation and rest moments. The student can thus belong to one of the many clubs where he can devote himself to the practice of music, Chess, photography…

    - Environment and daily life:

    Its location in the city of Berrouaghia and the existence of many parks, make the life very pleasant at the Territory Air Defence Staff School. Being a boarding school, it assures :
