Historical lecture on the occasion of the commemoration of the National Immigration Day of 17th October, 1961
The doctor elaborated on this historic event and extended its various aspects by explaining the historical background and the establishment of the National Liberation Front Federation in France, and the role played by the Algerian workers overseas and their political, military and financial struggle and contribution to support the Glorious Revolution.
After that the doctor then presented the division used by the FLN federation and statics on the number of Algerian activists involved and the restrictions imposed by the French authorities to restrict Algerian works action, weaken their organizations and put an end to hostile acts against France. All of this prompted the federation to react by organizing a peaceful demonstration on 17th october1961 which was met with the most brutal method of repression by the colonial authorities, which made horrific scenes, which the Seine River witnessed.
At the end, the doctor highlighted that the demonstrations of 17th October, 1961 was a huge support to the revolution, despite of the colonizer attempts of covering their crimes, this demonstration proved the sense of cohesion that links the Algerian people both inside and outside the country.
As part of the implementation of the general communication plan of People's National Army for the year 2023, The Territory Air Defense Forces Command organized, on 18th October, 2023, a lecture on the occasion of the commemoration of the National Immigration Day led by Doctor “SAIDI Meziane” a teacher of history at the Teacher’s Training School of Bouzereah
