In commemoration of the knowledge day, the Territory Air Defence Forces Commander, Major General Abdelaziz HAOUAM, chaired on April 28th 2025, the opening ceremony of the fifth edition of the Book Fair.
In the beginning of his address, the Territory Air Defence Forces Commander paid tribute to all the professors and the researchers as well as all the qualified professionals belonging to the Territory Air Defence Forces, and praised their determined efforts and their conscientiousness in order to promote and honor our army and our beloved nation.
In the same context, he emphasized the fact that science remains the main strength characterizing our era, therefore the greatest importance has to be granted to it, in order to form military personnel capable of acquiring knowledge and science. This fifth edition constitutes, according to the Territory Air Defence Forces Commander, an excellent opportunity for the staff of the Territory Air Defense Forces to approach publishing houses and get informed about the various exposed books.
As a fringe event to this exhibition, and in commemoration of the knowledge day, two conferences were animated by respectively: Dr SAIDI Meziane Professor of Military History at the University of Algiers and Mr Abdelkader DJEMAA, the Main Library Director of Algiers. The two lecturers addressed in their conferences the military Strategy adopted by Emir ABDELKADER in fighting colonialism , as well as his contributions as a thinker and a politician.
