The Gendarmerie Organizes the Fifth conference for Information and Communication Officers

 
    In implementation of the combat preparation program of the 2024-2025 combat year for the People’s National Army, the National Gendarmerie Command organized, on October 27th, 2024, the fifth meeting for Information and Communication officers of the National Gendarmerie units. The conference was opened by the Brigadier General, Chief of Staff of the National Gendarmerie, who welcomed the attendees and emphasized in his opening speech that the world today is witnessing rapid development across various fields, especially in communication and Information. He highlighted the impact of modern technologies and the spread of artificial intelligence techniques, which have led to the fast dissemination of news and information from diverse sources, the General stressed that this situation requires Information and communication officers, now more than ever, to adopt a wise communication and Information policy that aligns with the ongoing developments across different fields and meets the aspirations of the Command, especially the efficient media management during different crises and enlightening public opinion with certain, accurate and timely information to curb rumors.

  

    The three-day national conference aims to improve the performance of the officers in carrying out their communication-related tasks and to facilitate the experience exchange among communication officers across all Gendarmerie units. Additionally, the conference will involve developing local and regional action plans to advance communication within the National Gendarmerie, organizing media training (photography techniques, editing, and participations across various media platforms).

  

    This conference is also a valuable opportunity to thoroughly address the leadership's directions and instructions related to information and communication within the National Gendarmerie. It aims to produce objective and constructive recommendations and proposals that align with the leadership’s expectations, match the level of responsibility entrusted to the information and communication officers, and achieve the set objectives.
