Within the framework of the implementation of the annual military sports activities for the season 2020/2021 approved by Mister Lieutenant General, People’s National Army chief of staff, the Republican Guard Command organized the international cross day "Friendship through Sport".

  

The kick-off was given on February 18^th, 2021, by Mister General Agoud Djamel Republican Guard Chief-of-Schools Division, for the personnel of the central structures, the Headquarter Grouping of the Republican Guard Command barrack of Chahid Belouizdad Mohamed. For the rest of the Republican Guard Command unities, the cross was run on their headquarters.

It should be noted that the international cross day "Friendship through Sport" is considered as one of the national military activities that aim to periodically assess the physical and sport activities. Indeed, this sport activity known a strong competition between the participants from different ages and ranks, and a large participation of male and female staff, which reflects the interest devoted by the Republican Guard Command to sport in the military, in order to enhance the staff’s physical and mental capacities, to consolidate their skills and competences and to raise their moral.

    

This ceremony was seized to award medals to the winners of the different sports competitions, organized on the occasion of the day of Chahid, under the aegis of Mister Major-General Ayad Tahar, Chief-of-staff of the Republican Guard Command, in an atmosphere marked by a spirit of brotherhood and harmony between the participants, with strict respect of the sanitarian measures taken to face Corona Virus (Covid-19).
