The Republican Guard is responsible for:

• Ensure the guard, protection and defense of the buildings and places related to the Presidency of the Republic.
• Accompany and do honors to the President of the Republic and the high official guest who visit Algeria.
• Participation in national and religious celebrations under the patronage of Mr. the President of the Republic.
• Participation in the national and international musical festivities and equestrians.
