Like the other force commands, the republican Guard command celebrated the 66^th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious war of liberation (November 1^st, 1954 – November 1^st, 2020), by executing a program rich in events which aims to immortalize the greatness of our revolution and to instill the noble values of November to our staff.

  

This program included the historical conferences, photographic exhibitions, screening of historical movies about the glorious war of liberation, broadcasting of patriotic and revolutionary songs, the organization of cultural and sport competitions, the creation of the cantonments with national flags, scheduling a ceremony of rank giving for the military staff, on October 31^th, 2020, under the aegis of Mister the General of Army, Republican Guard Commander in the presence of promoted staff, and senior executives of the Republican Guard Command.

    

At the beginning of the ceremony, Mister the General of Army, Republican Guard Commander, gave speech through which he congratulated all the staff of the Republican Guard Command and urged them to «make more effort by following the path of our ancestors, who announced loud and clear their determination to recover their independence and their freedom whatever the price.

Our people sacrificed of a million and half martyrs, hundreds of thousands of widows and orphans, thousands of uprooted Citizens to restore the sovereignty of their homeland.»

The Republican Guard Commander added: «this collective sacrifice was the price which broke the ties of a hundred of years of colonization, a colonization of extermination and spoliation, a colonization of negation», to confirm after that the necessity of to be «up to the trust, reasonability and hope placed to us in order to preserve the legacy given to us by our ancestors.»

    

    

This ceremony continued with awarding ranks and medals, whishing others success in all different fields.

All of these activities aim to highlight the key dates of our glorious history and to immortalize the deeds as well as the bravery of our martyrs in order to preserve our national memory.
