The Museum manages, coordinates, follows, controls the works, preserve and exhibits all the objects that concern the Algerian Military History. It is in charge of:

• Collecting, listing and exploiting the documents, historical manuscripts, rock drawings, pictures, books, models, sculptures, armors, drawings, uniforms, furniture and arms that have a relationship with the Algerian military history and the Maghreb;
• The release of information that have to do with the historical military events through of editing means, guide books, short newspaper and all audiovisual means;
• Display the archives, the documents, the film documentaries that have a relation with the historical military events;
• Realize research programs that have a relation with the national military history throughout centuries;
• Restore and conserve any object witness to the military history preserved in the museum, using modern techniques;
• Initiate and conduct all works of research through a cooperation with researchers or other national or foreign specialized institutions;
• Establish relations of cooperation with specialized institutions from the Arab world, the Maghreb and the Mediterranean countries; in the field of research related to the common military history;
• Exchange scientific, technical and historical information that have a connection with museology, museums and national and international specialized institutions;
• Exchange visits with foreign military museums;
• Organize conferences and national symposiums on museums' objectives;
• Realize and acquire historical film documentaries;
• Realize with audiovisual and written means of information , advertisements on the national military history throughout centuries;
• Organize exhibits inside and outside the country;
• Record and exploit through audiovisual means, the statements of Moudjahidine about the national movement of the revolution of November 1st, 1954, in addition to the retired personnel of the people's national army;
• Edit a specialized magazine;
• Edit periodical on the activities in the museum;
• Realize publications, post cards, flyers, pictures and booklets in order to promote the museum and its different activities;
• Putting straight museological programs that have a relation with the military history throughout centuries;
• Putting straight the cultural programs: conferences, exhibitions, national and international symposiums.

Commemoration of the National Holidays and National Days

    The Central Museum of the Army "the Late President ChadliBendjedid" celebrates the National Holidays and National Days, notably those related to the history of Algeria, throughout the organization of conference day on history animated by university lecturers and Moudjahidine, heroes of our glorious Revolution and also throughout photos exhibitions. The National Days and National days are:

• National Holiday of July 5th, 1962
• Victory Day of Mars 19th, 1962
• Outbreak of the Revolution November 1st, 1954
• Emigration Day October 17th, 1961
• Demonstrations of December 11th, 1960
• The Offensive of North Constantine August 20th, 1955 and the Meeting of Soummam in August 20th, 1956
• National Day of Chahid February 18th
• The Massacres of May 8th, 1945
• The Month of Patrimony, the museum gives a great importance to patrimony and its preservation.
