The registration is an obligatory administrative step, that concerns every Algerian citizen or by his legal representative, starting from the age of 18. Any default in registration (the citizen will be automatically registered in Communal People's Assembly of his birth), involves the loss of the rights to the exemption, the deferment of incorporation and the exemption.

    It is carried out, on the level of the Communal People's Assembly of birth or residence of the citizen on presentation of the following documents:

•  The National Identity Card;
•  The Birth Certificate;
•  Two (02) photos.

     A certificate of registration will be delivered to him at the end of this operation.

     The citizens are informed by the annual launching of this operation, by way of press (written and masses medias), and of posting on the level of the public buildings (CAP, Posts, places).
