In implementation of the communication plan for the year 2023/2024, approved by Mister the General, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, and within the framework of the humanitarian traditions characterizing The Republican Guard Command and the various components of the People’s National Army, taking care to enhance and strengthen the link between the Army and its Nation, and given the importance that the High Command attaches to the various categories of society, particularly children with special needs, and in celebration of Universal Children's Day, which coincides with the first of June each year, the Republican Guard Command organized, on 01 June 2024, at the 11th Cavalry and Escort Regiment, an open day for children with special needs, who came from social activity and solidarity structures in different wilaya of the country.
The aim of this activity, organized by the Republican Guard Command, is to bring joy and cheerfulness to the hearts of children with autism, and to highlight the role of the horse in their lives, through the psychotherapeutic treatment provided by horse-riding, which studies have shown to be effective, especially as it consolidates the child's self-confidence, enabling them to integrate into society.
The program included a number of workshops, including a coloring and music workshop, a horse-riding workshop and an equiterapy workshop, as well as equestrian exhibitions and a visit to the stables.
It should be noted that the Republican Guard Command provided all the human and material resources to ensure the success of this communication activity. At the end of the event, a lunch was prepared in honor of the children with special needs and their careers, and they were presented with symbolic gifts and souvenir photographs taken to mark the occasion.
