In implementation of the annual directive of preparation of the forces, emanating from Mister the General, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, Mister the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard presided over on October 1^st 2025, at the Staff meeting room, and at the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment of the Republican Guard Command, the ceremony of opening of the year of combat preparation of the Republican Guard Command 2025/2026, and this, with the participation of all the structures and the units of the Republican Guard Command, under the slogan “Readiness- Determination- Dedication”.

      During the opening speech on the occasion, Mister the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard, stressed the need to make greater efforts to ensure proper combat preparation and ongoing training of personnel, stressing: “ On this occasion, i can only reiterate to each and every one of you the paramount importance of combat preparedness; it stands as the true benchmark by which the readiness of armies and availabilities of their units, both tactically and operationally, may be measured. It is, quite rightly, their ultimate safeguard. Moreover, the strength of any army lies in the degree of preparation of its personnel, in the fulfillment of their military knowledge, and in their mastery of the skills required for the optimal use of equipment and the execution of maneuvers under all circumstances”. After that, Mister the Major General announced the official opening of the year of combat preparation 2025/2026.

      This occasion was an opportunity for Mister the Major General to deliver an orientation speech, followed by the Republican Guard personnel via a videoconference, during which he stated: “Modern wars rely above all on the power of soft influence and target minds as well as perceptions. They require, in addition to the availability of advances and sophisticated weaponry and equipment, a seasoned and highly qualified human element, imbued with a strong professional and patriotic spirit, proud of belonging to his army and homeland, convinced of the legitimacy of his leadership and his unity and ever ready to sacrifice himself for his country”.

      The opening ceremony included various activities, namely the screening of a video on Annual review of various activities of the Republican Guard Command of the year 2024/2025, followed by a presentation by the Chief of the Employment and Preparation Division of the Republican Guard Command, covering the actions carried out the general assessment of the activities of the previous combat preparation year, as well as, the preparations for the current year and the objectives to be achieved.

      After this, Mister the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard, went to the equestrian grounds of the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment, to supervise the demonstrations and specialized and complex exercises, as well as the sports displays presented by the personnel, who demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and physical potential.

      The activity ended with the signing of the golden book of the Regiment by the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard.

      The organization of this activity reflects the sustained interest of the High Command of the People’s National Army in combat preparation of the forces, in the aim of successfully carrying out the assigned missions.
