As part of commemorating of the National Day of Remembrance, which falls of on May 08^th of each year, Mister the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard by interim presides over the baptism ceremony of the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment of the Republican Guard Command in the name of the Martyr Yahouni Bachir, in presence of Republican Guard Command executives and the martyr’s family.

      After the welcoming, the ceremony began with the unveiling of the commemorative stele of the Martyr, followed by an exhibition of historical photos. Then, Mister the Major General, Commander of the Republican Guard by interim delivered a speech, where he emphasized “it is true that the bloody repression of demonstration of the unarmed people was a big mistake, the Revolution of the Liberation was partially born from this blind repression, yes the 8th May 1945 was a great stimulus for the uprising of the Algerian people who drove the nail in the coffin of the hateful french colonizer.”

   

   

      In addition, a portrait video of the Martyre Yahouni Bachir life’s was presented, then, symbolic gifts were presented to the family of the Martyr as a recognition and gratitude for his sacrifices. At the end of the ceremony, the golden book was signed, in a pleasant atmosphere.
