The Republican Guard Command hosts the activities of the National Military Taekwondo Cup for the year 2024

  

Within the framework of the implementation of the annual program of national and international military sports activities for the year 2023/2024, approved by Mister the General, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, the Republican Guard Command hosted the activities of the National Military Taekwondo Cup, which took place at the level of the Headquarters of the Republican Guard Command, during the period from May 12th, to May 15th, 2024, with the participation of 18 teams ( Males and Females) representing the different Forces Commands, the Military Region as well as the different Military Formations and Structures Commands.

The opening ceremony of those activities was headed by Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard, on May 13th, 2024, who emphasized in his speech that military sport is one of the pillars of training and an indispensable means for the physical and moral preparation for combatants, urging all participants to show a high sportsmanship.


     

The organization of this kind of sport competitions reflects the great interest that gives the High Command of the People’s National Army to the various activities, and its commitment to the training of professional athletes in all disciplines, able to represent the People’s National Army during the various national and international competitions.

This national military Taekwondo cup saw the presence of senior executives of the Republican Guard Command, as well as representatives of national sports organizations, and witnessed a strong competition between the athletes in all competition specialties.

At the end of this competition, and under the aegis of Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard, the participating delegations as well as the cup and medals winners were honored, where the result were as follows:

  • - 1st place, SAADAOUI Abderrahim; S N-C O T from 5th Military Region;
  • - 2nd place, BADI Aymen; Lance Corporal from 4th Military Region;
  • - 3rd place, HANDAI Saïd; Corporal from Air Forces Command with HAFID Haider; S N-C O T from National Gendarmerie Command.



Poomsae specialty (under 40 years) males:

  • - 1st place, MERDASSI Nacir; Staff Sergeant from 2nd Military Region;
  • - 2nd place, FELLAG Ali; Corporal from Air Forces Command;
  • - 3rd place, AOUADI Ammar; Corporal from Land Forces Command with AGOUNE Youcef; Staff Sergeant from Republican Guard Command.





Poomsae specialty (under 30 years)


  • - 1st place, DRIDJI Khadidja; Staff Sergeant from 3rd Military Region;
  • - 2nd place, BARSI Lydia; Sergeant from 1st Military Region;
  • - 3rd place, CHEBAIKI Maroua; S N-C O T from Naval Forces Command.

Poomsae specialty (under 40 years) females:

  • - 1st place, MEGHICHE Fatima; Master Sergeant from 3rd Military Region;





Kyorugi Specialty by teams (males):


  • - 1st place, 01st Military Region;
  • - 2nd place, Republican Guard Command;
  • - 3rd place, 05th Military Region with Air Forces Command.



Kyorugi Specialty by teams (females):

  • - 1st place, 3rd Military Region;
  • - 2nd place, Marine Troops’ Application School /5th MR;
