The Republican Guard Command organizes the National Military Taekwondo Championship 2024/2025

      In execution of the annual program of national and international military sports activities for the year 2024/2025, approved by Mister The General, Minister Delegate to The Minister of National Defense, Chief of People’s National Army Staff, the Republican Guard Command organized the National Military Taekwondo Championship during the period from 15th to 19th December,2024, at the headquarters of the Republican Guard Command.


  

The opening of this championship was chaired by Mister The Brigadier General, Chief of Transmission Division, who emphasized in his speech the importance of military sport in the rank of The People’s National Army, as well as the efforts made by the Republican Guard Command to provide all the humans and materials means in order to make this championship a success.

In addition to the Republican Guard Command's team, eighteen (18) teams (male and female) representing the Forces Command, the Military Regions as well as the different Military Structures and Formation took part of this sport competition.

This championship knew a strong competition between the participating athletes and a high sport spirit, crowned with the best results, showing clearly, and without any doubt, the high level of the Military sport.


     

This championship ended with the award of prizes and certificates by The Brigadier General, chief of Transmission Division, the Republican Guard Command won the championship cup after winning, in the male category, with four (04) gold medals, one (01) silver medal and one (01) bronze medal, regarding the female category, the first place was awarded to the Naval Forces Command with five (05) Gold medals, one (01) silver medal and one (01) bronze medal.

The results of this championship were as follows:



Ranking according to teams (male):


  • - 1st place, Republican Guard Command; (06) six medals in total, (04) four gold, (01) one silver and (01) one bronze;
  • - 2nd place, First Military Region; (05) five medals in total, (02) two gold and (03) three bronze;
  • - 3rd place, Fifth Military Region; (05) five medals in total, (01) one gold, (03) three silver and (01) one bronze.

Ranking according to teams (female):

  • - 1st place, Naval Forces Command; (07) seven medals in total, (05) five gold, (01) one silver and (01) one bronze;
  • - 2nd place, First Military Region; (05) five medals in total, (02) two gold, (02) two silver and (01) one bronze;
  • - 3rd place, Third Military Region; (02) two medals in total, (02) two gold.
