In implementation of the annual program of national and international military sports activities of the year 2023/2024, approved by Mister the General, chief of staff of People’s National Army, the Republican Guard Command organized the National Military Taekwondo Championship “male and female” during the period from 24^th to 28^th of December, 2023, at the level of Headquarter Group of the Republican Guard Command.

The opening of this sport event was chaired by Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard Command, who emphasized in his speech the importance of sport in the ranks of the People’s National Army as one of the indispensable means for the preparation of combat of the military personnel, and this, in order to maintain the availability at the highest levels.

  

in addition to the Republican Guard Command team, twenty (20) teams representing the Forces Command, the Military Regions as well as the different Military Formations and Structures took part in this sport competition.

It should be noted that the organization of this kind of sport competition is an opportunity for athletes to improve their performance and show off their talents, with the aim of achieving better results for military sport.

  

At the end, Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard Command closed the championship event by distributing prizes and certificates to the winners and the executives who contributed to the success of this sport event which saw the crowing of the Republican Guard Command with the championship cup after having won the first place in the male category with four (04) gold medals, one (01) silver medal and one (01) bronze medal, and for the female category, the first place with four (04) gold medals, one (01) silver medal and three (03) bronze medals was won by the Naval Forces Command.
