As part of the implementation of the annual program of national and international military sports activities for the 2024/2025 season, approved by Mister The General, Minister Delegate to The Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, the Republican Guard Command organized during the period from April 12^th to 18^th, 2025, “the national military equestrian sports cup open to joint services”, in the equestrian grounds of the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment of the Republican Guard Command.

      The opening ceremony of the activities of this cup, was presided over by Mister the Major General Commander of the Republican Guard by Interim, on April 15^th, 2025, in the presence of the Republican Guard Command’s executives, representatives of the General Directorate of National Security, the General Directorate of Prison Administration and Reintegration and the General Directorate of Customs. In his speech, he emphasized:« … on the importance of horse riding and how to promote it, by showing the honorable image of the Republican Guard Command, especially since it bears the responsibility of preserving historical and civilizational heritage of the National People’s Army, which is considered one of the symbols of our national identity … ».

    

      The competition saw the participation of (119) riders (male and female), spread over 18 teams reporting to Force Commands, Military Regions, Directorates and Higher Schools of People’s National Army, in addition of sporty riders from the General Directorate of National Security, the General Directorate of Prison Administration and Reintegration and the General Directorate of Customs.

      In addition, the riders of the Republican Guard Command created the event by winning the first place in team ranking, the second place was awarded to the Republican Guard Command, and the third place went to the team of the Military Academy of Cherchell/ 1^st Military Region.

      It is worth pointing out, that the Republican Guard Command provided all the human and materiel resources in place to ensure the success of the national military equestrian sports cup open to joint services, within a strict organization characterized by a sportsmanship spirit. The competition was also known for its musical performances linking the past to the future, in addition Mezoued group and Fantasia that dazzled all the participant.
