In implementation of the program of general culture and history conferences approved by Mister the General, Commander of the Republican Guard, and in commemoration of the sixty-third (63^rd) anniversary of the demonstrations of December 11, 1960, a conference was held at the Republican Guard Command on December 11, 2023, by Professor Dr. Zghidi Mohamed Lahcen, entitled "The Price of Freedom" in which he reviewed the heroic deeds and sacrifices made by the proud Algerian people through popular resistance and political struggle up to the outbreak of the Glorious Liberation Revolution of 1 November 1954, highlighting the important role played by the demonstrations of 11 December 1960 as a historic milestone that contributed to national independence on July 05 1962.
