In execution of the communication plan of the People's National Army for the year 2025, coinciding with the seventy-first (71^st) anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious Revolution of Liberation, the Republican Guard Command organized, on Thursday, October 30^th, 2025, a conference conducted by Professor Dr. HOUARI Moussa from the University of Algiers 2, entitled “models of French genocide in Algeria from 1830 to 1962”.

      During the conference, the professor addressed three different acts of genocide carried out by the cruel colonizer against the Algerian people, divided on three historical phases. The first phase was in the 19^th century, from 1830 to 1900, during which he highlighted France’s crimes, especially the displacement and scorched earth policies, executed by the Marechal Bugeaud.

       The second phase between 1900 and 1954, characterized by involving the Algerians to the Indochina war and the 1st and the 2^nd world wars, which was the major cause of the massacres of May 8^th 1945. He then moved on the third phase, between 1954 and 1962, during which the French colonizer practiced the most monstrous forms of repression and genocide, and excelled torturing the Algerian people. The French government adopted a repressive methods supported by arbitrary laws against them, with establishment of Chall and Morice Lines on the eastern and western borders.

       At the end of a conference, the doctor stressed the awful crimes committed by the French colonizer against the Algerian people, will remain engraved in the collective memory of the Algerian nation, bearing witness to the sacrifices of our ancestors and their resilience in the face of the abject forms of colonialism.
