The International Championship of the Marathon of the Sands over a distance of 90km was organized in the wilaya of Timimoune, on November 29th, 2022, in which the national military team participated with two (02) runners, in addition to the participation of several teams from different countries.

Despite the difficulty of this competition, Staff Sergeant Zimouch Rachid from the Republican Guard Command participating in the national military team took second place by running a distance of 90 km in 18 hours non-stop.

It should be noted that this type of sport is considered as one of the strongest competitions that raise the endurance of athletes to the highest levels.
