The riders of the Republican Guard Command won firsts places
In accordance with the annual combat preparation directive and the annual program of national and international military sports activities for the 2022/2023 sports season, approved by Mister the General, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, the Republican Guard Command organized, during the period from 20 to 26 May 2023, at the 11th Cavalry and Escort Regiment, the national military equestrian tournament open to the common corps, which saw the participation of the Republican Guard Command team as well as fourteen (14) teams representing the various military structures, the General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Prison Administration.
The opening and closing of the tournament were chaired by Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard, who emphasized in his speech the importance of horse-riding within the Republican Guard Command, in particular because it is a sport linked to our civilizational heritage and our national heritage, and because of its connection with the glory and bravery of our nation throughout history. He also emphasized the determination of the Republican Guard Command to develop and promote the sport, by extending its use within the military.
The tournament was marked by strong competition between the teams and between all the participants in the various disciplines, at the end of which the elements of the Republican Guard Command won the first places, the final results of which were as follows:

- - 2nd place, Sergeant Baaziz Baaziz from Directorate of Prison Administration on the horse Cherit;
- - 3rd place, Sergeant First Class Khair-Eddine Fethi from First Military Region on the horse Rihan.
Chase race Discipline
- - 1st place, Sergeant Flifla Houssam from Equestrian Complex/R.G.C on the horse Tiers;
- - 2nd place, Staff Sergeant Cherifi Ali from Second Military Region on the horse Nebras el Misk;
- - 3rd place, Staff Sergeant Medjour Ilyes from 11th Cavalry and Escort Regiment /R.G.C on the horse Mabrouk.
At the end of the tournament, riders from the 11th Cavalry and Escort Regiment and the Equestrian Complex, together with personnel from the 1st Parade Regiment, presented a number of shows (Fantasia and some musical scores), which also included the performance of a canine exercise by personnel from the 56th Guard and Protection Regiment. Afterwards, the winners, participants and guests were honored and souvenir photographs were taken.
It should be noted that the Republican Guard Command provided all the human and material resources required to ensure the success of the tournament.
