In accordance with the annual combat preparation directive for the year 2022/2023, approved by Mister the General, Chief of Staff of the People's National Army, the Republican Guard Command organized, on 16 May 2023, at the 11^th Cavalry and Escort Regiment of the Republican Guard Command, a veterinary study day entitled: "Medical imaging techniques of the locomotors system in horses", with the participation of representatives of specialized national military and civilian structures.

  

The opening of this study day was chaired by Mister the Major-General, Inspector of the Republican Guard, who stressed in his speech the importance of this scientific activity which aims to develop and acquire new knowledge in the field of veterinary medicine, through the mastery of modern techniques of examination and medical imaging of the locomotors system in horses.

  

This scientific event was led by specialists from the Republican Guard Command and specialized national bodies, and included lectures and practical workshops highlighting how to carry out the examination, read the X-ray and ultrasound images and assess the usefulness of the diagnosis, as well as the limitations of the X-ray and ultrasound examination when diagnosing lameness in horses.

  

It should be noted that the Republican Guard Command has made all the human and material resources available to ensure the success of this scientific event.
