Commemoration of the seventieth (70th) anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious National Liberation Revolution
In commemoration of the seventieth (70th) anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious liberation revolution as in the rest of the People’s National Army units, the ceremony of raising the national colors were raised at the Naval Forces Command headquarters under the supervision of Mr. the Major-General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH Naval Forces Commander with the presence of all the higher staff and the personnel.
Mr. the General Said CHANEGRIHA, People’s National Army Chief of Staff, proceeded to the reading of the First November Statement and the Agenda in which he recalls the major sacrifices made by the People’s National Army in order to recover his sovereignty, his freedom and his dignity, urging everybody to work relentlessly to maintain the martyrs’ integrity and to preserve the country’s security and sovereignty.
After that, everybody observed a minute of silence to have mercy on the souls of the valuable martyrs, and raising the national colors with the national anthem, simultaneously, a detachment of the Republican Guard Command implemented the launch of 70 shots of artillery in commemoration of the anniversary at the north quay of Algiers’ Naval Base.
