In coincidence with the fifty sixth anniversary of the sovereignty regaining on the Naval Base Mers El Kebir in February 02^nd, 1968 and the evacuation of the last French soldier and in embodiment of the People’s National Army communicational policy aiming to enhance the “Army-Nation” link and to enlarge communication bridges between the military institution and the civic society, the Naval Forces Command organized open days during the period of February 02^nd to 3^rd, 2024 in the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kebir Chahid “BOUSSIF BELHADJI” in the West Maritime Façade/2^ndMR, where the official opening was announced by the Brigadier General Mohamed ABDEREZZAK, the Naval Base Commander with the presence of Mr. the Major General Abdelhak BENAYAD the West Maritime Façade Commander and the civil authorities and Mr. the Wali of Oran province accompanied by the delegation in addition to military authorities and the press.


     This manifestation allowed citizens to better know about the level of professionalism of our Naval Forces and the competence of their officials and the reached development and modernization. Visitors could visit different Naval Units of our Naval Forces ducked in the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kebir, where they discovered their technical and operational features and operation and intervention systems whether in the frame of the assigned missions in terms of the defense of our maritime borders and the fight of different types of organized crime.
