Rescue operation of 16 people candidate to illegal immigration from Somalia in Jijel north coasts
     Within the framework of humanitarian missions of units of the Naval Forces Command Coast-guard, related to human lives rescue at sea, and after the Regional Center of Surveillance and Rescue Operations at sea/5thMR, of the Coast-guard National Service of the Naval Forces Command in February 4th, 2025, at 20:45pm, received a rescue signal of the presence of illegal immigrants in a state of danger at sea 40 nautical miles away from the north of el Aouana in Jijel.
     Immediately after that, and under the supervision of the National Centre of Surveillance and Rescue Operations at sea of the Naval Forces Command Coast-guard National Service, a rescue and evacuation operation was launched where the Coast-guard two boats of the Territorial Group of Coast-guard of Jijel and Collo intervened could rescue sixteen (16) Somali persons candidate to illegal immigration two (02) women among them were in a critical sanitary state and they were put on board and directed to Djen Djen port/Jijel to receive the first aid and they were transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary medical care.

  

  

  

     This operation reflects the Coast-guard units of the Naval Forces Command efforts in ensuring intervention and assistance at sea in order to rescue human lives.
