In application of the measures stated in the Annual Directive of the Forces Readiness issued by General Said Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence, Chief of Staff of People's National Army, Major General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander, supervised in October 6
th, 2025 the opening ceremony of the Combat Readiness Year 2025-2026 of the Naval Forces, at the Naval Forces Command headquarters “Chahid SOUIDANI Boujemaa”, with the presence of the Major General Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, Commanders of Maritime Facades, Heads of Divisions and Central Structures of the Naval Forces Command.
In his opening speech, the Major General, the Naval Forces Commander, emphasized the importance of Combat preparation, which is regarded as the fundamental pillar to guarantee the operational readiness of the Naval Forces, stressing the geopolitical and the security changes in the Mediterranean region and the conventional and non-conventional challenges facing the Naval Forces require a maximum readiness and high capacity to effectively carry out the mandated tasks.
Mr. the Naval Forces Commander said that the new year of combat readiness will focus on raising the level of training and strengthening cooperation and coordination between different units and weapons, thus strengthening the ability of the Naval Forces to protect national sovereignty at sea.
At the end of his speech, the Naval Forces Commander urged all the Naval Forces’ personnel to comply with the national duty and the guidelines of the high Command of the People’s National Army, whishing them success in implementing their missions during this new year of preparation.
A presentation followed by analysis of the results of the previous combat readiness year and the prospects and aspirations of the new combat readiness year 2025-2026.
