The Naval Forces Commander in a work and inspection visit to the Western Maritime Façade units/2ndMR
Within the framework of implementing the combat preparation program of 2025/2026, Mr. the Major General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander paid a work and inspection visit to different units of the Western Maritime Façade in order to stand on the readiness of units and the state of personnel and material during the period from November 12th to 17th, 2025.
After the welcome ceremony of the Western Maritime Façade Commander, Mr. the Major General headed to the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kébir/2ndMR where he was received by Mr. the Brigadier General Naval Base Commander. This visit included several Western Maritime Façade units where the Major General stood on the personnel and equipment state of readiness and the execution of the combat preparation program. He also inspected the advancement state of works in several infrastructure projects deployed throughout the Western Maritime Façade territory where he gave a set of instructions highlighting that these projects fall within the continuous development programs of units. Mr. the Major General has also inaugurated new facilities such as the Post Center at the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kébir/2ndMR, and the shelter building with a capacity of 300 beds in the non-commissioned officers school in Mostaganem/2ndMR.
At the end of the visit, Mr. the Major General Naval Forces Commander, held an assessment meeting with Commanders and high officials of the Western Maritime Façade units, affirming the importance of the permanent readiness and preserving the readiness of personnel and units in order to guarantee the Naval Forces capacity to perform their tasks efficiently.
