Docking of the Hovercraft Carrier Amphibious ship « Tonnerre L9014 » of the French Marine
Within the framework of the implementation of the bilateral military cooperation program with France, a Hovercraft Carrier Amphibious ship « Tonnerre L9014 » of the French Navy docked in May 14th, 2023 at Algiers port in a stopover of two (02) days.
In the sidelines of this stopover, the ship Commander paid a courtesy visit to Mr. the Brigadier General Amar DEBBICHE, Commander of the Maritime Façade Center/1stMR. The program also included several cultural and tourist visits for the benefit of the ship crew.
During this stopover, an exercise « Passex » will be implemented at sea between High Seas Tug Boat « El Moundjid » n° 701 of the Algerian Navy and the Hovercraft Carrier Amphibious ship « Tonnerre L9014 » which is expected in March 15th, 2023 at our territorial waters.
