Docking of the Russian fuel tanker « YELNYA » of Russian Baltic sea fleet at the Algiers’ port
Within the framework of implementing the Algerian-Russian military bilateral cooperation program, the Russian fuel tanker « YELNYA » of the Russian Baltic sea fleet docked in December 17th, 2024 at the Algiers’ port for a stopover of three (03) days.
During this stopover, the mission Chief, the Russian vessel Commander and the naval and air military Attaché of the Russian federation in Algeria paid a courtesy visit to Mr. the Brigadier-General, the Central Maritime Façade Commander/1stMR at Algiers’ Naval Base/1stMR. Cultural and sport activities will be organized for the benefit of the vessel crew members.
This stopover allows exchanging expertise and reinforcing cooperation between the two countries’navies.
