Sanitary evacuation operation of a foreign sailor in the northern coasts of Cap Djenat Delys
     Within the framework of the humanitarian missions of Coast-Guard units of the Naval Forces Command, related to human lives rescue at sea, and following the reception of the National Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations at Sea/1stMR of the Coast-Guard National Service of the Naval Forces Command, in December, 16th, 2024 at 10:35am, a rescue request of a vessel named “WHITE WANDERER” bearing the Hong Kong flag coming from Bulgaria heading to Gibraltar, with a (Russian) on board in a state of distress (12) nautical miles north Cap Jenat in Delys.

  


     Immediately and in coordination with the National Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations at Sea of the Naval Forces Command Coast-Guard, an operation of rescuing and evacuating the sailor was launched throughout the engagement of MS-26 Research and Rescue Helicopter relevant to the 560th squadron Research and Rescue from the 560th Research and Rescue Helicopter Squadron/1stMR. These units could rescue and evacuate the sailor to the public hospital in Zeralda to receive the necessary treatment.

  

     This operation reflects the efforts made by the Coast-Guard units of the Naval Forces Command and their intervention and assistance at sea for human lives rescue.
