Holding of the thirtieth (30th) session of Maritime Research and Rescue commission meeting
     Within the framework of reinforcing national efforts aiming to guarantying security and safety maritime navigation, the thirtieth session (30th) of Maritime Research and Rescue commission meeting was held in March 18th, 2025 at the Admiralty in Algiers’ Naval Base/1stMR, presided by the Brigadier General Abdelghani BELMIHOUB, Coast-guard National Service Commander of the Naval Forces Command.

  

     This commission includes, in addition to the Ministry of National Defence represented by several ministries and national bodies, among them: Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ministry of Interior and Local Communities and Urban Development, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, Ministry of Energy and Mines, Ministry Health and Population and Hospital Reform and Ministry of Fishing and Fishery Products.

  

  

     During this meeting, the implementation of the twenty ninth meeting recommendations were discussed and valorised, and standing on the realized advancement in the Maritime Research and Rescue field. The 2025 activities program related to research and rescue was approved in order to consolidate measures and coordination between different actors in this vital field.

  

  

     This meeting aims to establishing a unified work methodology guarantying cooperation between concerned bodies in order to affirm a quick and efficient response and the Maritime Research and Rescue system efficacy in Algeria.
     This meeting reconfirms Algeria’s engagement in assuring the human souls safety at sea and securing maritime navigation in accordance with the international norms throughout a comprehensive approach focusing on permanent operation readiness and strict coordination and the constant update of the adopted systems and measures.
