« Algerian- American military cooperation » Docking of the American Destroyer ‘USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG-98)’ at the Algiers’ port
Within the framework of implementing the Algerian-American military bilateral cooperation program, the American Destroyer ‘USS FORREST SHERMAN (DDG-98)’ docked in May 18th, 2025 at the Algiers’ port from May 18th to 20th, 2025.
During this stopover, the mission Chief accompanied by his delegation paid a courtesy visit to Mr. the Brigadier-General, Commander of the Central Maritime Façade/1stMR at the Algiers’ Naval Base headquarters 1st/MR. Cultural and sports activities will be organized for the Destroyer crew members.
A "PASSEX" exercise will also be carried out and this will allow exchanging expertise and enhancing cooperation of the two countries navies.
