Sanitary evacuation operation of Indian sailor in a critical situation
     Within the framework of missions and humanitarian efforts of the Naval Forces Command Coast- Guard units, related to human lives rescue at sea, and following the reception of the Regional Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations at Sea in Jijel/5th MR, in February, 19th, 2025 at 10:57am, of an urgent sanitary evacuation request of “ FEDERAL INDIANA ” ship crew bearing Marshall Islands flag, coming from the strait of Gibraltar heading to Greece, they are Indian sailors after being exposed to gas poisoning in a critical situation.

     Immediately after that and in coordination with the National Center for Surveillance and Rescue Operations at Sea, a sanitary evacuation operation at sea was launched through the engagement of an AS-12 Research and Rescue Helicopter after localizing the ship by the same helicopter twenty three (23) nautical miles in the north west of RAS EL HADID in Skikda, sailors were immediately evacuation and hospitalized in Tahir Jijel in a very critical situation.

  

  

  


     This operation falls within the framework of humanitarian missions of Naval Forces command Coast-Guard units that reflect the efforts made and their concern to rescue human lives at sea in all circumstances.
