A demonstration exercise on assisting a ship of passengers transport in danger in the Centre Maritime Façade/1stMR
Within the framework of implementing the yearly directive procedures of combat preparation of the Naval Forces for 2023-2024, the Naval Forces Command organized in April 24th, 2024 a demonstration exercise on assisting a ship of passengers transport in danger.
Mr. the Brigadier General Omar DEBBICHE, Commander of the Centre Maritime Façade supervised the implementation of this exercise with the presence of foreign observers, which falls within the framework of embodying bilateral, and multilateral military cooperation program for 2024.
This exercise was implemented in Algiers Centre Maritime Façade/1stMR through two phases, the preparation phase was dedicated to adapting forces and means as well as holding preparation meetings, which included different military and civil communicators concerned with this activity, the dynamic phase was dedicated to the execution of the exercise at the sea with the activation of forces and means followed by a general assessment meeting of the exercise.
This exercise aims to exchanging and enriching the acquired experience by our individuals within the framework of assisting ships of passengers' transport and assessing the state of communicator’s preparation as well as the deadlines of intervention techniques within the framework of research and rescue and the enhancement of cooperation and coordination in the field of search and rescue.
