Mr. the Major-General Mahfoud BENMEDDAH, Naval Forces Commander paid a work and inspection visit, during the period from 25
th to 28
th September 2024 to the different units of the West Maritime Façade/2
ndMR, where he stood on the level of units’ combat readiness, and also inspected the different preparation for the participation of the the Naval Forces units to the Military parade commemorating the 70
th anniversary of the outbreak of the Glorious War of Liberation.
In the beginning, Mr. the Major-General, Naval Forces Commander, moved to the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kebir/2
ndMR. After the reception ceremony the Major-General Naval Forces Commander laid a wreath of flowers in front of the monument of the martyr “Boussif BELHADJI” which the Naval Base headquarters bears his name, where he was received by Mr. the Brigadier General, Commander of the Principal Naval Base Mers El Kebir/2
ndMR. after that, Mr. the Major-General Naval Forces Commander inspected the floating units which will take part in the parade and then he held a meeting with the West Maritime Façade units commanders where MR. the Major-General followed a comprehensive presentation on the level of combat readiness, where he gave a series of instructions and directives related to the necessity of preserving the operational readiness in its higher levels and that the participation of the Naval Forces in this parade must be on a par with this important historical event commemorating the sacrifices of our valorous martyrs.
He moved to different units deployed through the West Maritime Façade Territory/2
ndMR to stand on the state of operational readiness of these units, personals and materials.
