The joint exercise « MORJANE-2023 »
Within the framework of implementing the program of the Algerian-Tunisian Military cooperation activities for 2023, the exercise A-06 entitled with “the joint exercise MORJANE-2023” was embodied by the Naval Forces Command in partnership with the Tunisian Sea Army in the Eastern Maritime Façade/5thMR during the period of December 20th to 26th, 2023 in its eighth edition which revolved around specialized naval security and safety operation in the field of the maritime borders control, fighting against terrorism and prohibited activities at sea, with the implementation of Maritime Interdiction Operations (MIO).
In this edition, the Patrol Missiles Launcher “Carthage 503” of the Tunisian Army docked at the Djen Djen/Jijel port from December 20th to 26th, 2023 where a dynamic step was implemented at sea in December 24th and 25th, 2023.
This exercise was implemented in three phases; the first phase was dedicated to training at the quay and preparing activities at sea and activating the Center of the Joint Maritime Operations (CMOC). The second phase was reserved for activities at sea and included tactical maneuvers, an aero-naval joint operation for research and saving exercise at sea. In the third phase, a debriefing was held on this exercise at the quay.
